Emma Chiasson

I grew up in Turner Maine and still leave there today!
Where did you attend high school, if you attended college where did you go?
I went to Leavitt Area High School and now attend Central Maine Community College. Going on my second year this fall.
Tell me a little about your background and your education?
I live in Turner, with my dad and step mom. I am from a blended family with four sisters, one being my twin sister. I graduated high school and go to CMCC for ECE, and plan on going to VMPK for my bachelor’s degree.
Have you ever taught in childcare/preschool before (tell me about it)?
I have never been in a daycare setting before, but have be a nanny and done my fair share of babysitting. This has aided me in finding my love for teaching.
Are you married? Do you have any children (ex. include their names/ages)?
I’m not married and have no children but have a boyfriend, Trevor!
Do you have any pets (what are their names)?
I have one dog named Bruin, he is a Boston Terrier Pug mix!
What are you hobbies and interests (ex. how do you spend your free time when you not teaching)?
In my free time I love to spend time with my family/friends, hike, garden, and working out.
Why do you want to work with infants/children?
I want to work with infants/children to inspire and help each individual grow to their best ability. Each child is different and has their own ways, getting to know each and their family makes me want to work in childcare.
What do you think is/will be the best part of working with young children?
One of the best parts of working with young children is watching them grow. There’s never a dull moment and everyday there’s something new. Young children have no filter making every moment new.
